Do you want your children to use essential oils in a fun way?
Many children like to play with playdough. It is a modeling compound that children can use for playing and doing arts and crafts at home or at school. Playdough comes in different colors and can be shaped into anything.
How was playdough invented? Actually, playdough was invented by accident by Noah McVicker in the 1930s. He worked for his family’s soap company where he made a new kind of wallpaper cleaner. It was made of flour, water, salt, and many other ingredients and it looked like putty. The wallpaper cleaner he made did not contain any toxic chemicals. Some teachers at school found another way to use the wallpaper cleaner. They found out that it was great for making art and craft projects. The wallpaper cleaner could also be used as a modeling compound like clay. It was used by the students and they could shape it into anything they want using their hands. Later on, Joseph McVicker, Noah’s nephew joined the soap company. He was the one who learned that the students were using the wallpaper cleaner as a modeling compound for arts and crafts. Joseph suggested a new name for it and he marketed it to schools and department stores and the new product became a huge success. It is a popular brand until now.
