Do your kids enjoy bubble baths?
Bubble baths are fun, especially for kids. Most kids enjoy bathtime when they are surrounded by bubbles and toys floating around them. Bubble baths add some fun to a simple body cleaning routine. Bubble baths are generally safe for toddlers and older kids. It is recommended for children who are at least three years old.
Bubble baths can also be harmful to children especially if you fill the tub with bubble products containing chemicals and ingredients that can irritate the skin. Many personal-care products sold on the market use harsh chemicals such as artificial fragrances that can cause redness, burning, itching and other forms of skin irritation. Children are more prone to the harmful effects of chemicals because their skin is much thinner than adults.
If you are going to let your child sit in a tub full of bubbles, then it is better to choose a natural product for the bubble bath. To make sure that your bubble bath does not contain any harsh ingredients, why don’t you make your own bubble bath using essential oils. It is very easy to do and you only need a few ingredients. The best thing about making your own product is that you can be sure it is natural and safe for you and your children.
Bubble baths can be a soothing and calming routine for children before going to sleep. This can help them relax and can promote quality sleep, especially with the help of lavender essential oil. Lavender essential oil has a fresh and natural scent that promotes peace and relaxation. It is the oil that is mostly used to have a good night’s sleep. Lavender essential oil is also moisturizing and is a gentle oil that is generally safe for toddlers and older kids. This homemade bubble bath is calming and also ensures the skin stays clean, supple and hydrated.
DIRECTIONS
1. Pour castile soap into the measuring cup.
2. Add the vegetable glycerin. The glycerin creates the bubbles in this bubble bath.
3. Add lavender essential oil and stir.
4. Transfer the solution to the bottle using a funnel.
5. To use, add one or two tablespoons of this homemade bubble bath into the bathwater while the water is running.
It is better to keep bubble baths brief. As much as the children are having fun, it’s best to stick to ten to fifteen minutes for every bath to avoid drying out the skin. Wash off the soap with water before getting out of the tub.
