Taking care of our nails may sound trivial to some but nail care is actually an important part of our hygiene. Our nails should be clean so that germs and bacteria do not accumulate underneath and to avoid fungal infections as well. For most women, nail care is a vital part of their beauty routine. Keeping nails healthy make them look attractive and helps women feel more beautiful. Different forms of nail art have recently been a trend. Many have been enjoying pampering their nails.
Because of our busy lives, we sometimes forget to take care of our nails. Our nails become brittle or thin. Sometimes, we also have problems with our cuticles. Other factors also contribute to the health and condition of our nails. Harsh dishwashing soaps, gel manicures, nail polishes, and excessive use of nail polish remover are all harmful to our nails. Even the changing weather and seasons also affect our nails. As a result, our nails become dry, weak and brittle. They split and break easily. Not only do they look bad but they can really hurt as well.
There are a lot of essential oils that can help keep your nails and cuticles healthy and strong.
1. Jojoba oil - gives intense and natural hydration and moisturization to dry and brittle nail beds and cuticles. It also keeps the nail healthy and strong by repairing damaged collagen inside the nail beds.
2. Vitamin E - increases nail flexibility by strengthening brittle nails and softening the cuticles.
3. Lavender - the antibacterial properties fights off germs that can cause infections to the cuticles. Lavender can also hydrate and moisturize the nails and cuticles.
4. Tea tree - has antifungal, antibacterial and antiviral properties that can help prevent bail diseases and infections.
5. Peppermint - gives a cooling effect and stimulates nail growth.
6. Orange - also promotes nail growth and gives off a great scent
Combining all these oils together will create a natural nail serum. This nail serum can be used to nourish and strengthen nails, stimulate healthy hair growth and restore moisture.
DIRECTIONS:
1. In a roller bottle, add 1 ¼ teaspoon jojoba oil and ½ teaspoon vitamin E.
2. Add 5 drops each of lavender, tea tree, peppermint, and orange essential oils.
3. Snap-on the rollerball and gently shake the roller bottle to mix the oils.
4. To use the nail serum, roll it back and forth over each nail. Start at the cuticle and nail bed then massage into the full nail. Do this two to three times a week to achieve strong, healthy, and beautiful nails.
